And tutorial is finally finished. I firstly started to do this tutorial on November 2010, but then my hard disc crashed and I didn't do it... I'm a little glad that hard disc crashed, cuz this tutorial looks billion times better than old one. I'm glad because I decided to learn to program in Flash a little more so I did what I really wanted. The new tutorial I started to do at the end of June 2011 and I did it for 4 months. It was hard to program everything (especially to write the text, cuz I'm not a good writer), but I really wanted to finish it. In original tutorial I made even custom mouse cursor, but here on dA I deleted it, because I didn't want that your mouse works weird outside tutorial area :D In this tutorial you can find 14 different tutorials. In menu you'll find 3 different categories, like People, Background and Photoshop and there you can choose what you want to learn. This tutorial can be even useful for people who don't use Photoshop that much or they learn to use it. Happy learning (P.S. all drawings in this tutorial you can find in our gallery)

+How to use tutorial+

You probably already saw little buttons at the bottom of this tutorial. Simply just click on them with your mouse or cursor. You can move the pages with your keyboard buttons. Turn to the next page by clicking on the Right button and for the previous page click the Left button on your keyboard. If you want to return to the Menu just click the button that looks like home (it'll appear on the following pages). In this tutorial you can move things too. Movable things have pink symbol. Move them with your mouse cursor.

+Tutorials presented+

Drawing a head | Painting a head | Painting a head and hair | Painting fabric | Background concept | Drawing a tree | Painting clouds | Painting leaves | Photoshop basics | Coloring B&W drawing | Using pen tool | Making lineart from scanned image | Using mask tool | 3D effect

If you can't see the text in the tutorial very well, then you can click download button on this page and text will be bigger. But if you want to download this tutorial completely (because .swf file you can't save) you can click on thumb below. It's in .rar format and you need WinRar (or WinZip) to extract the file... tutorial have less MB, because of compression.

:below:...if you want to DOWNLOAD TUTORIAL click on THUMB BELOW...:below:

:new:UPDATE (Januar 2012): This is edited version now. Before I forgot to add a command CTRL+V in Photoshop menu (Making lineart from scanned picture), so now I fixed that and you can download correct version. I even added download button on tutorial, so you can click on it, and you'll be redirected to tutorial which is available for download (then just click in top right corner Download button).

Well.. whenever I see tutorials, people 'paint' so easily' , the brush is thick enough, and theres no multiple shades, its hard to explain, maybe a picture would better suffice? But whenever I try it, the strokes are not as easy, plus every Time I paint its a different shade. I tried your anime eyes but it looked NOTHING ALIKE and took me three hours to draw and shade the right eye. I want to get better at drawing (its one of my 2015 resolutions), but it's so disheartening, seeing me put so much time and effort only for me to hate it. :(

Maybe picture would explain more ^^ But I have to say that with practice you get better. At the start, when I started to draw digitally, I didn't draw as fast as I do now. I would probably do one part of drawing for many hours, which I can now draw in few minutes or less hours. I learned to use Photoshop better, its functions and effects. This helped me with painting later :D So don't get discouraged at the start :dummy: With more and more practice you'll understand this medium better... even I didn't get good in a day :XD: It took me one month or more just to get used on my tablet, lol xD But I draw for many years already. :D

Ok.
I'm going to try different programs and see which ones I like. The thing is, even though I keep telling myself that practice is how you get better, I still hate my drawings and are like ew with them. Unfortunately, I didn't save the eye I was working on,as I got fed up with it and closed out of PS.
So are you guys twins? How old are you guys?
How long have you been drawing for?
I'm going to try drawing in PS again. The only problem is that PS isn't a full-canvas program, and i prefer those, so it's really hard to draw in there. But there are not that many good drawing programs for Mac.. paint SAI doesn't work for example. :(

How do you get lines like that in photoshop? (as in the lines for the digital sketch/lineart). Whenever i do it I can't get smooth lines.
